“Although we see the Flint Water Crisis in the news less frequently these days, families there are still in need of our assistance,” said KEM. “I’m so appreciative that Chene Park and The Salvation Army have partnered with me in order to continue the effort to lend support to the Flint community.”

“We are thrilled to have Detroit’s own Motown Recording Artist and R&B performer extraordinaire, KEM, gracing our stage on June 24,” said Shahida Mausi, President and CEO of The Right Productions, Inc. and Chene Park Detroit Amphitheater. “This concert is special in many ways, beyond his hometown performance. We have partnered with KEM to dedicate this show to the residents of Flint who have been affected by the water crisis. Through KEM’s voice and our actions, our hope is to make a difference in Flint, while enjoying an evening of great music on the beautiful Detroit Riverfront at Chene Park Amphitheater.”

KEM will present a check that includes all funds raised to Major Jim McDowell, Divisional Secretary of Business for The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division at Chene Park during his show on Friday, June 24.

“We are so grateful to KEM for his help to bring clean water to the people of Flint,” said Captain Caleb Senn, The Salvation Army Genesee/Shiawassee regional coordinator. “The need for water is still great and every bottle is a blessing.”
